KNIGHTON TOWN COUNCIL INVITES LOCAL BUSINESSES AND TRADES TO A SECOND CONSULTATION ABOUT GRANT FUNDING

A presentation to update on progress and advise of next steps, followed by Q&A session and refreshments.

on Tuesday 13th February 2024, 7.00pm at The Civic Centre, Knighton, LD7 1EN.

An invitation to local businesses with shop frontages and local tradesmen and women to meet up and discuss the projects, quotes, and works. Knighton Town Council encourages the use of local contractors where possible.

A Powys County Council Built Heritage Officer (Conservation) will also be in attendance to take questions.

Deadlines have been set to apply for funding to improve Knighton’s shop fronts.The Council must make the application to Powys by Friday 01 March 2024. Over the next 3 weeks Knighton Town Council will work with businesses to complete expression of interest forms for all those yet to submit one.

All forms must be with the Town Clerk by end of FRIDAY 23 FEBRUARY 2024.

The Town Council has formed a working group to facilitate the application process, and the works if the application is successful. The working group membership so far is:

Councillors:  David Williams, Ben Butler, Tom Taylor, Bob Andrews, Rob Edwards, and Petra Ford. Contact details are available on the Town Council website.

Business Owners: Nick Rowlands and Serena Taylor (more required).

The group would welcome the addition of any professionals such as builders and architects.
